Job Overview
Veterans Alliance is hiring experienced Aircraft Mechanics to support UH-60 Black Hawk maintenance operations in Guntersville, Alabama. This is a 12-month contract opportunity offering strong hourly pay and weekly per diem.
This role is ideal for mechanics with rotary-wing experience, particularly those familiar with Phase Maintenance Inspections (PMI 1 & 2).
Responsibilities
- Perform PMI 1 & PMI 2 inspections on UH-60 aircraft
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft systems and components
- Troubleshoot mechanical discrepancies and perform corrective actions
- Remove, repair, and replace aircraft components as required
- Read and interpret technical manuals, maintenance procedures, and schematics
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety and quality standards
- Document maintenance actions accurately
Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ years of aircraft maintenance experience – REQUIRED
- Rotary wing experience – REQUIRED
- H-60 experience - PREFERRED
- Strong experience with Phase Maintenance Inspections (PMI 1 & 2)
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- A&P License NOT required
Compensation & Details
- Pay: $36.00/hr
- Up to $890/week total per diem (must qualify)
- Contract Length: 12 Month contract to direct hire
- Platform: UH-60 Black Hawk
- Interview Process: Phone or Virtual (some onsite may be required)
- Tools: No personal tools required
